R-6 TYPE RENOVATION This R-6 was most likely built in M.Giles shipyard in 1927. The yacht hasn't been on the water for over a dozen years.
R-6 type yachts belong to a large family of regatta yachts, starting with R-12 (America's Cup) through R-5.5.
Three R-6 were moored in Gdynia: "Lotny", "Mat" and "Passat" a few decades ago and "Santa Maria" was moored in Gdansk.
Renovations are schedule as follows:
- making the new keel
- planking
- making the new deck
- rigging
STEAM BOAT UNDER CONSTRUCTION The name of this steam boat "Xi??e Xawery" refers to first polish steam boat from the 1930's.
She is constructed in our workshop, equipped with american York engine which is a copy of the steam engine from about 1800's.
Plywood hull on oak frames.
